The New Fishermen’s Village in Las Terrenas to open in February
The President Luis Abinader will officially open the new facility Today the 20th of February.
Las Terrenas, Samaná.- The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, announced that the new Pueblo de los Pescadores in Las Terrenas, Samaná, will be inaugurated between February on the 20th In a social media post, Collado emphasized that the project will mark a significant transformation for the area.
The tourist zone was devastated by a fire in September 2021 that destroyed 16 businesses. The renovation includes a state-of-the-art fire-fighting system to ensure the safety of merchants, visitors, and the community. Collado and his team inspected the site to ensure the project meets the expectations of Las Terrenas’ tourism sector.
Collado described the renovation as a commitment to the future of tourism and the well-being of the local community, reiterating his excitement for the February unveiling of the new Fishermen’s Village in Las Terrenas.
This New Fishermen’s Village in Las Terrenas has been built to a high standard I just went down to view it and it looks special.
The new units will be a mix of restaurants and bars all overlooking the ocean with both old owners and new taking the new units.
We are very excited as its only a 3 minute walk from our office the units are all finished so all that’s required are for the businesses to move in over the next few weeks.
