We have just started another house in this beautiful gated community.

This one is actually next door to the one we built and finished last year.
|
It will be a larger house and be built over two levels open plan living areas, having two large bedroom suites and a massive master bedroom suite along with a separate self contained apartment.

Excavations started in August cutting the lot and the pool, the rock was hard very hard it even broke the hydraulic bit on the large Volvo we had working the land.
|
|
Then we had to core drill for the soil samples that have to be sent to Santo Domingo to be tested.
|
These have been done and we have the engineers report and plans for the foundations and concrete formulas.
|
|
We have had approvals so we are ready to move onto phase three which are the foundations and initial service trenches.
|

I would like to just offer some advice to those of you looking to come to Las Terrenas looking for property.
Please be aware that due to the busy rental demands especially on the weekends viewing property on Saturday is difficult.
Sunday is almost impossible as developments are closed and getting staff to open up is hard as Sunday is their only days holiday.
So please ensure that you look at coming in the week and allowing at least 3 or 4 days to see the town its places of interest and property.

As a rule of thumb to have a house built by us is 50% less than buying one in the same or similar location.
|
|
And as regards resale some of our clients are asking 70% more than they paid!
