Dear Friends both old and new

Sorry for the lack of newsletters but I have been busy with various construction and refurbishment projects, both in planning and getting my hands dirty!
|
We have at least three new homes to construct next year with a few more enquiries. Las Terrenas Property Services is also looking within the next two years of doing our own small development we are currently in negotiations to secure a suitable land site.
|
A special mention and thank you to Ben Heller for all his hard work and dedication on the Beachtown Website which should be getting put on trial next month.
|
The busy season fast approaches and we are seeing various enquiries and a lot of new subscribers thank you and welcome to the family!

Our own adventures have been limited to Las Terrenas seeing friends and clients, walking the dogs and enjoying our home.
|
We have a great new restaurant that we have dined at three times and every time the food has been fantastic.
|

We are currently waiting on the end of the rainy months November usually being the last, one so we can get some roof repairs done.

After almost 12 years we have developed some very annoying leaks when we get very heavy horizontal rain, with the most annoying ones being in the lounge near to the TV and one that drips onto my head in whilst in bed!
|
|
So myself and the roofing team are having to take of most of the ridge tiles and then about 25% of roof tiles to replace the broken tiles, felt membrane and laths in various places all over the roof.
|

The new restaurant that we highly recommend some of you will have known as Chez Sandro, don't worry Sandro is still in charge.
|
But he has changed the name to O Grill and the food.
|
It specialises in seafood and fantastic local and imported meats cooked perfectly on his new flame grill along with great pasta, fondue and chocolate mousse that is most delicious.
|
|
People know that I am a pretty good cook and very fussy when it comes to eating out.
|
|
Sandro and his team look after their clients and ensure the food is cooked and served as ordered.
|
Prices range for a main course from US$7.60 for a fantastic burger up to US$40 for the juiciest, tasty, tender imported T-bone steak.
|
|
I give it top marks 10 out of 10.

The other massive job we want to do before Christmas is to lime wash paint all our existing wooden vaulted ceilings through the house, both exterior and interior,

We have decided natural pine has to go and giving it a lime wash will give a great new look.
|

The other painting work will be to do the exterior and interior woodwork the doors, windows, gates and soffit boards and handrails.
|

They are currently the original Caoba brown we are thinking of doing these a sort of grey/beige colour washto tie in the ceilings and feature stone work both inside and out.
|
Helen has her reservations as the sanding down, dust and disruption will be ongoing for at least 3 weeks.
|
