1. Choose your route.

No matter which path you take to the top, you can’t go wrong. Jarabacoa is a popular starting point for most hikers, but you’ll need to plan ahead to make sure you’re equipped for the overnight journey. The hike can be completed in two to five days. Seasoned hikers can finish in just two nights, and less experienced hikers may need an extra few days.

Keep in mind, hikers are required to make the trek with certified guides. You can book your guides either through your hotel or at the Armando Bermúdez National Park’s main office.
